Furniture Restoration
Quality furniture is a major investment. Before throwing out the old and buying something new, find out if the item can be cleaned and restored with these quick questions.
1. Check if the frame is in good condition. If so, chances are the item is worth saving.
2. Restore the finish. Water stains, scratches and small chips can be repaired so closely that they are nearly invisible.
3. Re-upholster. Search for a reputable leather repair specialist to repair tears, holes, burns and other common upholstery problems.
4. See if it can be cleaned. Often the problem with quality furniture is an accumulation of dirt. It is often possible to save hundreds of dollars having the items cleaned instead.
5. Smell. One of the reasons people get rid off perfectly good furniture is due to odor. Humidity, spills, smoking and stains can create a nasty combination of unpleasant odors.
6. Contact a full service upholstery cleaning to clean and deodorise leather and fabrics of all types – even deep set odors like tobacco.
